Beautiful Autumn Day

My writings have several themes: newness, freedom, growth. Love. Grief. And they usually tumble forth in a heap, in several minutes.

Here's this week's offering:

Your soul has a fringe.
I run my finger alongside
And I fluff it gently,
Like a velvety decorator pillow.
Today it's red with bold uninhibited love.
Passion.
Most days it's a bright happy color.
The color of your smile.
I lay my head on your soul.
Sometimes to rest,
Sometimes to sing
Always to be met with warmth,
And comfort.

Thoughts for a Friday

It's a glorious warm fall day here. And Friday as well! The word of the day is "Flow".

Flow

This is new
This lightness
Going with the grain
It's airy here
The yoke has been lifted
No longer clenched,
Nor closed and poised to defend.
My head sets just a little higher
I look out a little straighter
All I did
Was ask
And be ready and open
It is true joy
To not be so afraid
To be
Me.

Here's a great site -Weekend Writing Warriors.
